Natural Language domain names can be supported through the IDNA process published by the IETF RFC 3490, 3491 and 3492, under current review by the WG-IDNABIS

Les noms de domaine en langues naturelles peuvent être supportés selon les RFC 3490 3491 et 3492 actuellement soumises à la révision du WG-DINABIS

Further to the exchanges as reported, france@large, Multilinc, and MLTF multilinguists have gathered to investigate a possible ML-DNS solution for the Multilingual and Semantic Internet.

This ML-DNS should:

  • look to applications such as the IDNA that will result from the current IETF/WG-IDNABIS.
  • conform to the RFC 1958 principles.
  • support every linguistic and scriptural relational space, as documented by the Linguasphere Observatory, in the same simple, robust, and end to end stable DNS service as the English ASCII space is supported today.
  • match the vision of a people centric digital convergence and semantic emergent addressing.

Initial exploration, drafts, and further analysis will be carried out on the exploration@ml-dns.net mailing list in the French and English languages.

A la suite des échanges publiés, des multilinguistes de france@large, de Multilinc et du MLTF se sont réunis pour investiguer la possibilité d'une solution ML-DNS pour l'Internet Multilingue et Sémantique.

Cet ML-DNS devrait :

  • apparaître aux applications tel que l'IDNA en cours de révision par l'IETF/WG-IDNABIS
  • se conformer aux principes de la RFC 1958
  • assurer à tout espace relationel linguistique et scriptraire documenté par l'Observatoire de la Linguasphère un service DNS aussi imple, robuste et de bout en bout que celui assuré aujourd'hui à l'anglais ASCII.
  • soutenir une convergence numérique et une émergence émantique anthropocentriques..

L'exploration initiale, les projets de documents et leur analyse ultéireure devrait se faire sur la liste exploration@ml-dns.net en français et en anglais.
The reporting limitations imposed by the IETF process about the consequencies of an ML-DNS approach leads to a clarification appeal to the IESG.   Les limitations apportées au compte-rendu des consèquences d'une approche ML-DNS par la rigidité du processus IETF conduisent au dépot d'un appel de clarfication auprés de l'IESG.
